DPQAL update

I posted yesterday about the troubles I had with my design for the DPQAL. Unfortunately, I had cut all my fabric before realizing the design I had chosen, Devil's Puzzle, required way more convex squares than concave. So, I didn't have enough fabric. Crap! The new design I chose was Dove, which has equal amounts of squares, although I needed to add another fabric. I thought I had Kona Coal, but today I found my Coal fabric, so I'm not really sure what I am using!! Yes, I do label my solids now!! No, I don't have a Kona colour card. Might be a good thing to invest in one. So, anyway, today I sewed the 4 blocks I had arranged yesterday. Why do I always do this......put the blocks together wrong! All I did wrong was flip the last 2 rows around--only one seam to fix it. However, am I nuts? I kinda like the oops block!!
Here they are side by side. The oops on the right, and with better lighting ;-). It kind of spreads out the dark (possibly Kona Pepper- definitely not black) fabric. I'm thinking of leaving it and doing a few more blocks. As I said, it's an easy fix if I change my mind. In the meantime, I will have to pay attention to my sewing and stop singing with Adele. After all, she will never sound like me........no matter how hard she tries!!;-) ;-)

I like them both, but I think I like the oops block more. Are you thinking now that your quilt will be a mix of the two, or all "oops". Hmm, that's a good quilt name :)

I also prefer the oops one more but they both look great!

Very cool! I like the oops one better, too! Cause in this one the black doesnt dominate the quilt, it accentuates the other colors.

I agree - the oops has more interest. It's a little funky.

I like the oops block too - agree that it spreads out the dark more...
