WIP Wednesday

November is here along with snow, cold weather and short days. It seems like Christmas is just around the corner and I haven't started making any presents yet.
On my design board right now are hundreds of concave and convex pieces for the DPQAL.
I have had numerous design issues, but accidentally came up with this design, which was supposed to be the Dove block. It went slightly awry on construction!!
So far I have 10 blocks done, which is half way! I'm pretty pleased with how it is looking.
Also in progress are frame pouches for the PAL with Rebecca Lynne. My first attempt was okay, but not great; too much puckering for my liking. But it's a nice little coin purse using Ruby Star Rising
Then I made another attempt using a different frame and Kaffe Fassett fabric. I really like this pouch, although I overdid the glue! I definitely will do this many times with maybe a bit of tweaking on the design.
I am still putting blocks together for the Test Your Skills Sampler. Don't have any photos yet of the finished blocks
My big finish is Come Fly With Me which I am so happy with, and already putting to good use on these chilly evenings.
Still hanging in the closet waiting for backing is Ocean View From the Prairies.
Linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced.

Wow.. your "Come Fly With Me" quilt is stunning! I'm being drawn more and more to flying geese (they're called that, right?) these days. They seem so traditional yet modern at the same time.

Your Come Fly With Me quilt is gorgeous but I'm really digging the drunkard's path one. I love how many different patterns can be created with that one block!

Love the drunkard's path progress too. That block is so versatile, so many different ways to lay it out.

Normally, I'm not such a fan of flying geese, but I like how you did yours with the two colors. Very nice!

I am super-impressed with your skill in joining the drunkard's path pieces! I have tried curved pieces once and it was more than I could handle! The pouches are super creative and I think very -well done. I couldn't see a problem with glue; great color choices!

Oh wow, love your doves! I also did a double take when I saw where you were, I got to spend a year in Estevan as a high school exchange student, and I got to Saskatoon a couple of times (you know, to the 'big city' :oD )
