WIP Wednesday

This week has been full of fun for me.
My obsession with foundation paper piecing continues!
I started the week with a teapot cozy using the block from verykerryberry in Fat Quarterly, and her tutorial for the teapot cozy! Love it so much!

The foundation pieced teacup on the back is from piecebynumbers
Then I accidentally joined .....

SOL QAL
I seriously did not intend to, but when I saw the first block by Julianna!.......could not resist.....I have no will power!
And I am determined to conquer paper piecing!!
So, here is my first block....

Had a blast doing this, and there are a few things I would change......
but again...
Love it!
The second block is out now  from Shape Moth....yipee!

More fun for me this week was doing FMQ! I know, surprising, right!
I am still working on my Swoon block, so this is what got done this week...

This is the block before FMQ!

This is Loopy Paisley!

This is Star Flower Bands!
Both are Leah Day designs.

I don't have a clue what I was trying to do here!! Some kinda bug??
Your guess is as good as mine! :_(
Pretty lame, I know.
Also, you can almost see the feathers I did in the  green triangle area .
But, look at the back....

 OOOh!
Love it more that the front I do believe!

I have completely abandoned all my other projects including Path to Tallahassee, Ocean View From The Prairies, Can You See Me Now.
Linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for

I love the tea cozy! I'm hoping to do one soon. It has been on my to-do list, but for some reason paper piecing makes me nervous. I really like the tea cup you added on the back. Your zipper block is really cool too!

I was so intriqued by the zipper thumbnail on TNTN I had to surf in. It is SO COOL!!!! And wow, your quilting in the other pics! FAB.

great tea cozy, but I love your FMQ - the back of quilts are fast becoming my favourite as you can really see the texture and quilting.

Hi Patti--I am doing the Twist-a-long too. I canNOT tell you just how many times I get things all mixed up when cutting out for quilt blocks...I think I just get so excited about a new project that I get some kind of Tunnel Vision and go too fast....have to love your comment on trying to sew the wrong things together....you are not alone....Julierose
