WIP Wednesday

I was feeling pretty energetic this week and got some fun things done!
Unfortunately, none of it was finishes of old projects which continue to languish ...
I am keeping up with the weekly blocks in the
Sew Out Loud QAL, and they are very challenging but so much fun... follow the link to check out all the fabulous block designers!
I posted this Pin It block last week....
but I found it way too busy, and took away from the fun pin cushion!
So, I just had to re-do it...
I am really happy with this re-do. I did keep in the text on the bottom which reads..
"Because she has found it easy"
Makes me laugh so much because I really don't find this easy at all!
So, I no sooner finished this block when the next one was posted, Design Studio, and it is freezer paper pieced... OH NO!! Don't make me do freezer paper piecing...
I blogged about it yesterday...
Here is the finished block..after 2 full days of working on it!
I love the finished block, but boy was it challenging for me!
So many wonky areas, but I do love The Ghastlies fabric .... it saved the day I do believe!
Nope, not done yet!
***
New York Beauty QAL has also kept me pretty busy!
Two blocks finished, and haven't started the 3rd yet.
Ya! I'm lazy like that!
Just throwing them up on my design wall. Not sure what the layout will be yet!
I am using Circa 1934.
***
I also just joined another QAL!!!!!
Sandi from Piecemeal Quilts has designed this fabulous quilt called Ironwork* using her take on an asterisk-type block!! It is gorgeous, and she is giving directions for 2 different sizes.
Go check it out and quilt along! It is just starting.
I'm using all Kona solids...colours in the photo are kinda off!
Hmmm....
I think that is all for this week!
I thought about doing more blocks for Path to Tallahassee, but didn't...
So, no finishes this week, but many things in the works.
I really, really need to stop joining things!!!
Linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced and then taking a nap, looking around at everyone's work!!
Have a great sewing week!

Patti, all your quilt alongs are coming along great! Your redo of "Pin This" is perfect! The New York beauties are on my list too, and yours look graet. All the older projects won't go anywhere, they'll be there when you're ready to go back to them.

your design studio looks really good, your fabric choices are so cool!
I am also working on it, well just the sewing machine part!
The pin it is also really good, actually both are good, the second one is less busy and I love the "because she has found it easy!"

Your sew out loud blocks are phenomenal! I'm fully intending to do all the blocks too, along with the NYB, but just haven't had that much time lately.

I love your pieced block, and that you used the Ghastlies print for the skirt. Well done! I am not brave enough to try this, but it is certainly eye-catching.
