Let's Quilt!

I can't believe that I'm finally getting around to quilting Ocean View From The Prairies!!
This poor baby has been a UFO for many months!
Step one is the basting...
I had to move all the furniture out of my living room in order to spread out the whole quilt...it's Queen size...
How much do I love 505 temporary spray adhesive!!!
This only took me about an hour.
When I was pin basting, it was at least 3 hours on my hands and knees...
oh, my aching back after one of those sessions!!
Then it was off to the machine...
Sheriti was not being helpful!!
I am just doing wavy lines across the whole middle of the quilt and then I will decide what to do with the 2 rows of sashing.
Shouldn't take too long.
I am using Isacord polyester thread in grey.
I'm pretty excited to finally get this finished and on a bed!

I love how the orange really shines in the center design! I will love to see how beautiful it will look when you've got it all quilted.

That is gorgeous, Patti! I will have to remember that spray adhesive next time I baste a quilt. I can't ever get the pins to work that well for me. I've been thinking about asking in a post about what basting spray works best, etc. So thanks for sharing!

I really like your colour choices, grey has been my favourite colour in the last year or so. And I have recently discovered basting spray as well :)

This is a fab quilt - all the colours go perfectly :) Have you spay basted a quilt this size before? I'm always wanting to try spray basting but I'm a bit nervous about it.

Its beautiful. Hope the quilting is going "seamlessly!"
Love how you've sashed it.
