A Lovely Year of Finishes June goal setting

A Lovely Year of Finishes
Luckily, this goal decision is an easy one for me...sort of...
The Saskatoon MQG is participating in the Michael Miller fabric challenge with the MQG.
We were given fabric from the collection Petal Pinwheels, which is really a gorgeous line..
I decided to make a new table runner, and try some improv piecing.....
Oh, oh!
What was I thinking???
Why can't I be more like Carly, who does amazing improv!
Or Marianne who says "just slice it. It's only fabric"
Apparently I need direction and some sort of rules!
LOL!
I took my fabric, and sewed a few panels together, but now I am stuck.
See, I had no plan! I thought an idea would just magically appear.
uh...nope...didn't happen!
So here they have sat for 2 weeks now, giving me the stink eye!
I have until the end of the month to make some magic :-)
Well, I guess I'll just start slicing...
Wish me luck!

The panels look great! Now cut them up, mix them up, and sew them back together! lol Have fun!

Oh I TOTALLY need direction in quilting! I am definitely not a Carly, hehe :). Maybe that's why I'm enjoying the Farmer's Wife so much - precise measurements and nothing willy nilly about it! :)

Lol! And here I'm wishing I could be more like you! Heather made me laugh, too. :)

What I see so far looks great but that fabric is a stumper for sure! I only started yesterday and I'm scratching my head. Just keep cutting, is right! :)
