Does (retail) Therapy Help??

Oh Yeah!I was thinking I would never wait a long time before trying paper piecing again after my very wonky first attempt which became Poor Kitty. I decided to shop instead and these lovely bundles arrived this week (more on the way!) After all, how do you know when you've had enough therapy?

I have been trying to decide what to do for the back of Come Fly With Me. I wanted to add maple leaf blocks as well as flying geese blocks. Hmmm. A little more retail therapy happened and then while reading blogs, I found this guest post at Chasing Cottons! Cara from Me? A Mom? did this fantastic tutorial on the Circle of Geese block. Oh, oh! Do I dare attempt the fates so soon? But maybe it was meant to be?  I could try it and then hide it if it became a disaster. Poor Kitty wasn't a disaster, she was just wonky!
So, wonky might be acceptable on the back of a quilt, right?
Decision was made.....block made....photo taken.....I'm in love with this block!!
I need to do some work on colour placement (no surprise there!), but I'm pretty darn happy with it.

Thank you Cara  for the tute and thank you Bec for having her as your guest! I'm off to Sewing Summit. Oops! Just a dream!

PSA- no fabric or thread were harmed during the making of this block!

Holy crap. That Rocks! I've wanted to do this block but didn't know what it was. Yay! I should've known I could depend on you. Btw, poor kitty has arrived and I'll be sending her to her new home Monday!!! Oh, and Metro Living Circles = Love!

I love that block but have yet to make one. Have you seen the pillows made by New Nest Designs? She made the Circle of Geese but the geese are white and the surrounding area is scrappy. It looks better than I'm making it sound!
