This wonderful pattern is Winter Critters by the amazing Sonja-aka-Artisania. and can be found in Quiltmaker magazine.
I had some problems (as you can see) doing the foundation piecing with directional fabric, but I love the finished results.
I had some acorn fabric, and couldn't resist cutting out a few pieces for the squirrel to play with!
I also used my Supreme Slider for the first time, and do I ever love it! The wonky FMQ is all my own doing.....I still need to slow down my quilt movement....it seems I am always in such a hurry to get from point A to point B, that I move the quilt way too fast...then I forget where I want to go next....definitely a learning curve!!
OMG!! Is that squirrel real......?

I still need to make some sort of hanger to get it on the wall properly, and then I can talk to my new friends when I am sewing.
It measures somewhere around 24"x30"

Patti that is awesome! I love the raccoon and think you did a great job getting the wood grain right. Did you have a big glass of wine after that? Your quilting is fabulous, too. I always go too fast and can't figure out where to go, either. Though mine looks much worse than yours!
This is amazing.....love it!!
The FMQ looks great to me... I have the same problem, going too fast and getting panicky when I get myself into a corner!! Practice, practice ....and more practice!
Love it! Especially love the photo with the cat in it.
I love it! It's such a shame it's a magazine pattern, otherwise I'd definitely get it. Love the photo with your cat. Too cute, and funny :)
