I haven't exactly been over-productive, but I am starting on some of my new goals for 2012.
I joined my first block swap...a scrappy Japanese x and + block!
So much fun to do, however fabric choices are challenge for me.
Just how scrappy should they be!!
Here are a few contenders....
My first trial block came up a little short in the measurements, so it will go into my own quilt...
I am also sorting fabric for a new quilt which I am calling Path to Tallahassee.... it will combine Drunkard\s Path and Tallahassee blocks using mostly Aunt Grace Circle of Friends and Storybook fabrics... 1930's stuff
Unfortunately, I have several carry-overs from last year languishing in a closet.
I will, I will, I will get them done!
Now, it's time to link up with Lee and check out others' WIP

Your blocks look great! I really like the bottom two. Your Path to Tallahassee quilt looks like it will be fun, too. I'm not sure what the Tallahassee block is so I'm going to go look that up. The fabrics you picked look great!

Those X and + blocks are just gorgeous! I really like the one that is all different dots. I haven't tried to control my choices at all, maybe I'll try again!
Patti I love your Japanese X blocks! I've seen a lot of them around the web and they are very interesting. I'm curious to see how your combination Drunkard's path and Tallahassee quilt!
