WIP Wednesday

Absolutely nothing completed this week except some yard work!
After finishing Off The Grid last week, I thought I`d be rummaging through my drawer of `started and never finished` projects, but it was not meant to be.
I think I gave myself a shock while reorganizing my fabrics a couple weeks ago...I reached 300 comic book boards, and still had buckets of fabric!
So, no more buying for a while...unless it's something that I really have to get!
Instead, I decided to do some scrap busting and revisited a great tutorial that I had saved for a while.
So, this is the start.....
Everything but the Kona Navy is from my scrap bin.
Love the navy, but it sure shows up when the joins don't match perfectly.
It took me several rounds with my ripper before finding the matching point that worked for me and my machine!

Since I can`t work on one thing at a time apparently, I also started a stash buster!
Over a year ago I purchased a stack of fat quarters of vintage stripe sheets from Jeni`s Etsy shop.
So, I pulled them out and decided to do something with them. This is a disappearing 9 patch block.

Not sure what size it will finish at, but I`m running out of the solid and I don`t know the colour ;-), so that will determine the end result!
 This week:
finishes-0
starts-2
ufo-2
So, that`s it......short and sweet.
Linking up with Lee and Jess at Freshly Pieced for...

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

 Have a great sewing week!

Great idea to do a scrapbuster, Patti! Love those navy stars! You inspired me to start organizing my fabric with comic book boards too and I was shocked at how many I used. I've also started chopping up my scraps into usable pieces for a scrap buster. It's taking a loooong time. hee hee.

The Navy is great. The quilting will help the navy and you will not see a little miss match after quilting.

Navy was a great choice! Don't drive yourself too crazy over the points. :-) The comic book boards had a way of making you suddenly aware of just how large one's stash actually is, eh? It makes it much easier to curb the fabric shopping when you can put a number on what you already have. Doesn't curb the desire though... :-)
