WIP Wednesday

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Ahhh! Summertime...
Heat, heat, heat and sunshine...
is there anything better?
Lazy afternoons spent in the hammock reading and napping!
There is something about the wind rustling the leaves, and the birds chirping that just makes me close my eyes!
I am slowly working on these blocks, but have stalled while I wait for more Kona navy to arrive.
Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the roses.
Linking up with Freshly Pieced and Kati who is doing hostess duties today!
Have a great sewing week !

If I had a hammock and if it weren't freezing cold here in Adelaide, then I wouldn't be doing much either - your backyard looks very tempting. Lucky you have that wait for the Kona solid to arrive - the perfect excuse! I love your blocks - the dark solid looks great against those gorgeous bright fabrics. I'm looking forward to seeing it all done.

The mosquitoes must not be too bad this year if you're able to lounge in a hammock outside. We were at a family reunion in Sask one summer, I think it was '05 because my youngest had just turned 2, and the mosquitoes were SO horrible we seriously couldn't even be outside. We all rushed out for a family photo, then rushed back in. Crazy.

The blocks with the navy are gorgeous.

Navy is such a great color for your blocks - pretty roses - my computer screen needs to be a scratch and sniff model :)

Totally jealous of the hammock! I want one of those huge ones with the drink holder and mosquito netting. We're lucky we have the gazebo to sit in over here but nothing beats a good hammock...

Your lawn looks lush. Must be all the rain. :-)
