I made this quilt top months ago using Giddy by Sandy Gervais and this pattern. I wanted to wait for my new sewing machine before doing the quilting on it.
I really didn't know what all the fuss was about with the "walking foot". My old cheapo singer didn't have one with it, so I bought a generic foot to use. It worked okay with alot of tugging, pulling, Ibuprofen, a heating pad and a bottle of wine with a straw!!
But, NOW I get it! This built-in even feed foot with my Janome is amazing. Gone is the tugging, pulling, Ibuprofen and heating pad....the wine ...well I can't give up everything!
I spent a couple very enjoyable hours watching one of my favourite movies, Fried Green Tomatoes, stitching on the binding. Its a fabric I picked up at my LQS and I quite like it. Haven't gotten outside yet to take some real pictures.
