WIP Wednesday

I've been completely distracted this week with terrible back pain.....I think probably a pinched nerve!
So, not much sewing got done.
Thankfully, it's much better now!!
I'm taking a break from Path to Tallahassee as all that foundation piecing gets to me at times.
So, instead, I started a new quilt! This is a baby quilt for my cousins new son, Blake.

It's a quick block to make and alot of fun as well. I had the Pooches and Pickups fabric around for a while, and then added a few other fabrics from my stash.
The background fabric in Kona Ocean.
I still have more blocks to make, but it shouldn't take too long.
Still haven't decided on a layout either!

The only other thing I did this week was a new framed pouch. This one has the tabs to add a chain which I really like. Details here.

Still unfinished and lingering on a hanger or in a drawer is:
2- Can You See Me Now
I am so sad that Picnik is closing, as I use it all the time and I don't have Photoshop.
What do you use for photo editing?
As always, I'm linking up with Lee at Freshly Pieced for...

What a gorgeous pouch. I'm too chicken to try working with the hardware. Love the cheery triangles!

There's so many options for layouts for that quilt block! Here's another one I like: http://www.filminthefridge.com/2011/10/04/a-nautical-quilt/

I too am sad about picnick. :(

The pouch is so cute! I love the red against the black and white. The baby quilt is great too, I love the cheery colors. Unrelated to this post, but I am totally digging the panda in your header! So great!

Your triangles looks beautiful. I started one with some scraps but never finished it. Looking at your gorgeous quilt I realize I should dig it out again.

Sorry to hear about your back, that's no fun! But the triangle quilt is a lot of fun!! Looking great so far! I'm too lazy to do too much photo editing, but when I do I just use Picasa as I'm too cheap for Photoshop. Hope you are feeling better soon!

Glad you're feeling better! I do my photo editing with an ancient, no longer available Microsoft product called Picture It, but you should check out the Aviary suite of tools. I use the Swatch Editor to pick colors from photos. The Image Editor, based on the video, does amazing things, and they're free.
