I don't know. I will miss the penny since I do pick them up off the ground. Rounding down is nice. Rounding up, not so good.
Wow, that's a big step. I wonder when the US will do the same? And I wonder what I'll do then with my bottles of pennies?! :)

I saw a bathroom floor done in pennies, and they had copper fixtures. Very cool!
You will not miss them one bit. We gave them up here in Aus many years ago. Best thing we ever did. I really notice the difference when we visit the US and always seem to have mountains of them weighing down my purse.
I can't wait until the US gets rid of the penny!
What? The penny is gone? Yikes - I have piggy banks full of them in storage at home. Oh well.
No more 0.99 prices then, sales won't be the same anymore :)
