ALYoF -July goalsetting

Alrighty then!
After a miserable showing for June, I have reset and refocused.
It also helps that I love what I'm working on for my July goal!

While I'm completely over making these HRTs with the seemingly endless marking fabric, trimming blocks, and pressing seams open, I do love how they look.
I think the layout I finally decided on is pretty as well.
So, I just need to get the layout nailed down, blocks sewn together, and quilt it!
Easy Peasy!
Oh yeah, I also have to buy a new face plate for my machine! A spring must have sprung, and shifted the plate, because while I was sewing the needle suddenly hit the plate and everything broke!
Scared the crap out of me, too!
Good luck to everyone setting their goals for July.
Hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am, especially now that we finally have it!
A Lovely Year of Finishes

Those blocks look fantastic!

That sounds like a very bad thing to happen to a sewing machine. It would have scared me too.

The HSTs look great, I think I'm allergic to them though! Gorgeous to look at, but I come out in a cold sweat if I even think about making them myself!!!

your HSTs are very pretty - love the versatility of them, but not the making. Yikes - that sounds like a pretty scary situation with your machine - hope you're up and running again soon.

The HST quilt is turning out beautifully. I love the colours. I hear you about the tediousness of it though. I came over from Mad About Patchwork but I am a follower of your already. :) Your sewing studio looks nice and bright.
