My Go! baby arrived the other day and I unpacked it to try the hexagon die. I also got a 3" finished HST and the 4 7/8 triangle.
I started my hexagon block that I first posted about here. I think the scale of the Prince Charming fabric is too large to fussy cut for the centre hexagon, but I will use the middle hexagon on the Go! baby to cut all of them-it was sooo easy and quick.
It took me almost 1 1/2 hours just to do this one block, but I think that once I get a bunch of fabric strips cut, I can do some chain piecing! I did manage to add a this bit of cuteness-
Love the frog eyes! I might have to put eyes in every block and call it "The eyes have it" I didn't add borders to the top and bottom of the block - a suggestion from Lee in a posting on her finished quilt.
I'm pretty happy with my first block, although I wasn't too sure about the orange. I think its okay though?

The orange is great. It drew my attention to the frog eyes.

Found you via Lily and the new "Archie" and my tired eyes briefly thought your blog said ....too tired to quilt...not "retired to quilt" LOL.
Love the whimsical frog. Look forward to your remarks on the GO BAby. My girlfriend has such bad shoulders she cant use a rotary cutter any more and is thinking along the lines of a Gobaby.
Hope your weekend is quilty.
